Putting in some work, and changes coming!

Things happening and some changes coming. Not sure how things will shake out. But one thing I am aware of is that will have a bit more time to focus on MY archery. Sounds selfish to say that. With their impending move, I will not be following to Coach at Archery Addictions. We wish them well and hopefully this transition is smooth for them. I just cannot travel any farther for an unpaid volunteer position. Not that it hasn't been a wonderful experience helping to build the team and coach a few kids to national podiums and college scholarships. It has been tremendously fulfilling and it has also made me wonderful friends. Those kids kept me going through some seriously dark times. As of right now, I will continue there, until such time as the move occurs, or when this current session expires.

Now for the work!

This week i started the Archery strong program for shoulder health. The idea behind it is to strengthen, stabilize and prevent injury while increasing accuracy.

So far, i highly recommend and it does not take long.

they suggest one day on and one day of rest. the rest days i will shoot between 30 and 60 arrows depending on time available. my goal had been a podium finish at Nationals.

but for a few stupid mistakes, i was in position for 3rd.

Next year, i intend to take 1st!

to do that, i must do my best to stay healthy and manage my pain.

This Archery thing is the only thing i feel like i can do well at this point, as the brain fog and painful knees ad feet, don't interfere with my shot process. So the concern is the neck and shoulder. That will be the one to watch out for.

So goals for the rest of this year?

1) More 3D

2) compete in my first Outdoor event

Next year?

1) 625 for Lancaster. MINIMUM

2) Win Nationals ! ( At least the Virginia location )

gotta run for now.

Stay tuned
